I’m Antonio Ranieri, a sound designer specializing in audio for media and video games.
I work in sound design, audio post-production, and the creation of interactive audio systems, with a particular focus on Game audio and the integration of creativity, technology, and narrative.
My work includes:
Sound design for film, media, and video games
Editing, mixing, and audio post-production
Original music and soundtrack composition
Audio implementation with FMOD Studio / Wwise
Sound experimentation and interactive systems with Max/MSP
Field recording and environmental sound design
I work daily with Reaper, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Unity, iZotope RX, Dolby Atmos, and advanced tools for cinematic and interactive sound design.
Approach
I see sound as a plastic and narrative material — something that shapes space, guides attention, and transforms the player’s or viewer’s experience.
For this reason, I’m directing my path toward Game Audio, combining sound design and technical implementation to create dynamic, responsive, and immersive audio systems.
My background is rooted in electronic music and independent production.
I am the co-founder of Lacryma Dischi, an independent label where I continue to curate music production and electronic experimentation. In 2023, I co-founded NZIEM Festival, where I worked as a stage technician, backliner, live sound engineer, and performer.
I studied electroacoustic music at the Conservatory of Naples with M° Elio Martusciello, and later electronic music in Benevento with M° Giosè Grassia, deepening my research into glitch aesthetics, IDM, ambient music, and post-digital electroacoustic techniques.
